OUR VALUES
The One God
We believe in One True Supreme Being God, eternally existing as three co-equal and co-eternal persons revealed to mankind as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit otherwise known as the Trinity (Godhead). God is infinite, perfect, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present, all-loving and unchangeable. (Gen. 1:26; Deut. 4:39; 6:4; Ps. 18:30; 90:2; Isa. 43:10; Mt. 28:19; Mark 12:29; 1 Cor. 8:6)
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the author of all Scripture, and that He directed holy men as they wrote the divine Word of God. The Bible defines and describes all that is needed for Christian faith, practice and authority of the believer. We define the Bible as the collective of 66 divinely inspired books. (Num. 23:19; 2 Tim. 3:15-16; 1Tim. 3:15-17; Heb. 4:12; I Peter 1:23-25)
God the Father
We believe God the Father is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. We believe the heavenly Father is the source of all that exists, whether of matter or spirit. With the Son and the Holy Spirit, He made man, male and female, in His image. In love He both seeks and receives penitent sinners. He will bring all things to their proper consummation in Christ Jesus, to the glory of His name. (Ps. 68:5; Isa. 64:8; Mt. 5:45; 7:11; Jn. 3:17; Rom. 8:15; 1 Pet. 1:17)
God the Son
We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ (Messiah), the Son of God; that He is God incarnate, fully God and fully man; that He was eternally preexistent with the Father and the Holy Spirit; and that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. By His blood shed at the cross, He obtained for us eternal redemption, the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. He was raised bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to make intercession for the saints forever. He will return to earth again to reign in righteousness. (Mt. 1:18–25; Jn. 1:1–18; Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:1–28; 2 Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:10–14; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 2:6–11; Col. 1:15–23; Heb. 7:25; 9:13–15; 10:19; 1 Pet. 2:21–25; 1 Jn. 2:1–2)
God the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit, in whom we are also sealed for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit equips the Christian for godly living and service. Subsequent to conversion, the Spirit fills, empowers, and anoints believers for ministry and witness. We also believe that signs and wonders, as well as all the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operative today and are designed to testify to the presence of the kingdom and to empower and edify the Church to fulfill its calling and mission. (Mt. 3:11; Jn. 1:12–13; 3:1–15; Acts 4:29–30; Rom. 8:9; 12:3–8; 1 Cor. 12:12– 13; 2 Cor. 1:21–22; Gal. 3:1–5; Eph. 1:13–14; 5:18)
Salvation
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. Sin brought sickness, death and separation from God. Man’s only hope of salvation from sin is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. On the cross, Jesus Christ shed His blood and became a sin offering for us providing salvation and deliverance from the effects of sin for all mankind. We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No ordinance, ritual, work or any other activity on the part of man is required or accepted for his salvation. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight, that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. (Gen. 1:26-31; 3:1-7; Ps. 103:3-4; 107:20; 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 1:7; Jn. 1:12–13; 6:37–44; 10:25–30; Acts 16:30–31; Rom. 3:1–4:23; 5:12-21; 6:23; 8:1–17, 31–39; 10:8–10; Eph. 2:8–10; Phil. 2:12–13; Titus 3:3–7; 1 Jn. 1:7, 9)
Evil
We believe that Satan, originally an angel, rebelled against God, taking a multitude of angels with him. He was cast out of God’s presence and is at work with his demonic hosts to establish his counter-kingdom of darkness, evil, and unrest on earth. Satan was judged and defeated at the cross of Christ and will be cast forever into the lake of fire which has been prepared for him and his angels. (Isa. 14:10–17; Ezek. 28:11–19; Mt. 12:25–29; 25:41; Jn. 12:31; 16:11; Eph. 6:10–20; Col. 2:15; 2 Pet. 2:4; Jude 6; Rev. 12:7–9; 20:10)
Humanity
We believe that humanity, male and female, was originally created in the image of God, righteous and without sin. Because of disobedience, all persons are sinners by both nature and choice, and are, therefore, spiritually dead and justly condemned as children of wrath in the sight of God, wholly unable to save themselves. (Gen. 1:1–3:22; Ps. 51:5; Isa. 53:5; Rom. 3:9–18; 5:12–21; Eph. 2:1–3)
The Church
We believe the Church is a body of born again believers who have been called out from the world by God to live in and build the Kingdom of God as His people under the authority of Jesus Christ. We believe in the priesthood of all believers and that every believer has a role and specific gifts in the spreading of the Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations. (Mt. 16:18-19; Rom. 12:4-5; 1 Cor. 12:4-7; Eph. 4:11-14; 1 Peter 2:9-10; 4:10-11)
The Mission of the Church is to build the Kingdom of God by:
Sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom to all (Mark 1:15, 16:15; Lk. 19:10; 1 Cor. 15:1-4)
Making disciples of Christ for the Kingdom (Mt. 28:19; Col. 1:23)
Displaying the love of the Jesus (John 13:34-35; Rom. 14:17)
Demonstrating the authority of the Jesus by destroying the works of the devil (1 John 3:8, Ps. 103:1-4, Acts 10:38)
Showing the diverse and multi-faceted nature of the Kingdom (Acts 1:8; Rom. 1:16)
Operating in power of the Holy Spirit to effectively minister to the needs of the community (Mt. 9:37-38; 25:34-39; James 1:27)
Sanctification and Holiness
Sanctification and living a life of holiness is the will of God for all believers through obedience to the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Sanctification and holiness are displayed through the manifestation of the Fruit of the Spirit in believers (Heb. 12:14; I Peter 1:15-16; I Thes. 5:23-24; Rom. 8:3-4, Gal. 5:23-24).
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit brings power to be witnesses of Jesus Christ, and the bestowment of spiritual gifts and their uses in the building of the Kingdom of God. This baptism or filling empowers the believer for Christian service throughout the earth, and the performance of acts of power (signs and wonders) and of love which will edify the body of Christ and testify to the world of the good news (Gospel) of Jesus Christ. The evidence of salvation and “fruit” of the Baptism (the filling or gift of the Holy Spirit) and work of Holy Spirit is often accompanied with speaking with other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives them the ability to speak, or “utterance.” (Lk. 24:49, Acts 1:4-8; 2:42-43; 10:44-46; 19:2, 6; 1:8; Gal. 5:22, 23; 10:44-46; 19:2-7; 1 Cor. 12:1-31).
The Imminent Coming of Jesus Christ
We believe the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign on this earth is imminent and is Scripture’s promise. The events of His coming include:
The Blessed Hope (Rapture) - The gathering of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord. (Rom. 8:23; I Cor. 15:51-52; I Thess. 4:16-18; Titus 2:13,)
The return of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven with His saints (Rev. 19:11-21)
The salvation of national Israel (Isa. 59:20-21, Jer. 31:33, Rom. 11:25-27)
The millennial reign of Christ on the earth (Rev. 20:1-7)
A new heaven and new earth (II Peter 3:13, Rev. 21:1)
Eternal Judgment
All people will be subject to eternal judgment at the end of the age. Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will be subject to eternal separation from God. They will appear at the Great White Throne Judgment. The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and anyone whose name was not found in the book of life, shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the Lake of Fire that burns with brimstone. This is the second death. (Mark 9:44-48; Rev. 19:20; 20:10-15)
Those who have accepted the redemptive work of Christ will be judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ. At this time God shall distribute rewards and crowns based upon the Christian service the individual performed. (John 5:28-29; Acts 1:11; 2 Cor. 5:10; Rev. 20:1-5)
